Ice in the dryer, the secret procedure of all laundry

One way to avoid using an iron is to use ice cubes in the dryer. How can this trick work?

It may seem absurd, but the ice cubes in the dryer method has more than valid logic. But the question is: how can a few simple ice cubes help dry and avoid ironing clothes? And, above all, is the dryer really a useful appliance today?

Is it really worth buying a dryer?

Considering the recent increases in energy prices, the prospect of another electricity-consuming appliance being produced is not at all attractive.
However, the costs are not as high as you might think. Obviously everything depends on the type of dryer you buy, its energy class and, if that were not enough, the type of contract you have with your electricity supplier.
But above all, if you think about how many times it is problematic to hang the clothes at home, perhaps because it is raining, the weather is bad or because you do not have the appropriate hours of sunshine, or how cumbersome it can be. To hang your sheets, buying a dryer and using it sparingly can be a good investment.

The average consumption of a dryer

Until a few years ago it was widely used, especially in America, in recent years it has also begun to spread in our country. Without a doubt, a dryer guarantees soft, scented and dry clothes in a short time. It is possible to exploit it with decidedly low costs, the important thing is to know how to move.
First of all, we must distinguish between the types of existing dryers. In fact, there are ventilated drying, heat pump and condensation models.
Ventilated dryers take air directly from outside, heat it and put it in the drum, to “heat” and dry the clothes. This is the most common and economical type to purchase, but unfortunately it does not imply decidedly low consumption.
Heat pump dryer models work in the same way as air conditioners. They usually have an energy class A+ or higher and surely have a lower impact on the bill.
Finally, the condensing dryer works by cooling the outgoing air that contains the moisture from the clothes. Using a condenser, the steam produced is deposited in the form of water in a special container that will then be emptied.
Depending on the type you choose, it is essential to take into account the energy label that informs about its efficiency, to know in advance the impact on the electricity bill.
