Don’t turn the thermostat up too high
Hot air is more humid than cold air, so it is best not to increase the temperature more than recommended to avoid condensation. This will also curb the heating costs that scare Italians during this period.
Turn on the extractor hood when cooking
Since this is another area of the house where humidity increases when cooking, this is a very effective trick.
If we add to this that we cook by putting lids on the pots to prevent the water from evaporating into the atmosphere when it boils, much better.

Although eliminating excess humidity in the home can be solved by purchasing a dehumidifier, it is also true that there are green and economical solutions (that do not increase the electricity bill), by using plants that absorb humidity .
These act as “ionizers” absorbing the humidity that surrounds them through the leaves and improving the quality of the air we breathe at home. Plants such as aloe, orchid, fern or philodendron will not only make the home more attractive but will help absorb excess humidity. The bathroom decorated with an orchid would have the double advantage of furnishing and absorbing humidity!
