Lemon is one of the foods we add to our grocery cart every week. It is used to make desserts, pies, creams, lemonades, and much more.

This citrus fruit also has many virtues, and it is well known for whitening clothes and removing stains, for making mirrors shine, for disinfecting cutting boards, for removing limescale, etc.

Now, you probably didn’t know it until now, but lemon, mixed with toothpaste or baking soda, can also be used topically. In such cases, it acts on the skin, hair, face, elbows, knees, and nails.

Here are 3 beauty tips with lemon and toothpaste:

1 – LEMON TOOTHPASTE

Ingredients

30 g of ultra ventilated green clay
5 g of gray sea salt
2 tablespoons of organic olive oil
1 tablespoon of lemon juice
1 tablespoon of thyme
3 drops of lemon essential oil
Water
1 glass jar with lid

Instructions

Start by boiling a large volume of water. As soon as it boils, place the glass pot and its lid (if it is also glass) and leave for a quarter of an hour to sterilize the equipment. Remove the pot with tongs and place it upside down on a clean cloth.
Heat a small saucepan of water and add the tablespoon of thyme as soon as it boils. Turn off the heat, cover, let it infuse for a few minutes, then filter.
Crush the gray sea salt as finely as possible. It is not a matter of grinding it completely, so using a grinder is not recommended. The simplest is to place the salt in a plastic folder and crush it with a rolling pin.
In a small container, put the green clay and the salt, mix with a wooden spoon (do not use an oxidizable spoon).
Add the olive oil, stirring constantly, then the lemon juice, and very slowly, pour in a little thyme infusion until you obtain a homogeneous and smooth mixture. The dough must remain very thick.
Finish by adding the drops of lemon essential oil, stir and place in the sterilized jar.
Use this toothpaste like regular toothpaste, simply dip the dry toothbrush into the jar.
However, due to the presence of salt, it is preferable to alternate with a milder toothpaste, such as powder toothpaste for example.
2 – CLEANING THE NAILS

Some beauty products that we use attack our nails. Result: the latter become weak, brittle and yellowish. For this tip, you will need:

1 tablespoon of baking soda toothpaste
