Can you freeze mashed potatoes?
Have you made a mashed potatoes and do you have some left? You can freeze it without any problem. Even though it is made of milk and butter, it keeps very well in the freezer. The initial texture will be slightly different when you thaw it, but you can find it again by using a mixer or whisk.
Avoid freezing mashed potatoes while they are still hot, as this will form a layer of ice on the surface that will cause them to lose their flavor. Wait for it to cool down to room temperature, and store it in airtight bags so it doesn't leak.
