Tip no. 2 – With bleach
You can buy it in any home cleaning products store. This oxidizing liquid is the ally of home cleaning to sanitize different surfaces, but you can also take advantage of its whitening properties to wash and whiten underwear. The bleach will therefore be effective in banning the yellow marks that form on the bra. However, it is better to use it sparingly: excessive cleaning with this product can cause significant damage to the fabric. Furthermore, since it is not ecological, it can damage health and the environment. So it is better to use it alternately with natural and non-toxic ingredients.
Application: First of all, take a look at the instructions to follow the instructions. Pour warm water into a bowl, add bleach (1 scoop or according to the directions on the package). Mix well. Put your bra in the solution and leave it to soak for an hour. So rinse it well and wash it.
Tip no. 3 – With domestic ammonia
This is the best way to whiten a lace bra, as it will not harm this delicate fabric. Ammonia is particularly effective in cleaning and reviving the shine of white lingerie.
Application: It is necessary to mix 2 tablespoons of ammonia liquid in a liter of cold water. Wear the bra and leave it to soak for a few hours or even overnight for an even more optimal effect. The next day, wash as usual adding fabric softener to neutralize the strong smell of ammonia. Thanks to the stain-free and whitening performance of this product, you will notice that your underwear has returned to its original color!
Tip no. 4 – With baking soda
Use baking soda instead of bleach to whiten your bra. It is the perfect alternative: as you probably know, this natural powder is renowned for its cleansing, disinfectant, degreasing, bleaching and deodorant action. This product eliminates stubborn stains: it will not only lighten underwear, but will also remove all dirt residues. In addition, this softening agent will increase the whiteness of your delicate pieces without damaging them. Icing on the cake: it’s cheap and ecological!
Application: Add 1/2 cup of baking soda to your normal washing method, combined with a mild laundry detergent. Leave on for a few hours before rinsing well. The yellowish appearance of your bra will no longer be relevant!
Tip no. 5 – With white vinegar
Like baking soda, white vinegar is also very suitable for cleaning, staining and whitening delicate laundry. Prevent your fragile clothes from becoming rough, eliminate bad smells and ban all bacteria. As a bonus, it is a more ecological alternative to all industrial softeners and aggressive bleach such as bleach, which in the long run can deteriorate the quality and appearance of underwear.
Application: Mix 1/2 cup of white vinegar with a normal portion of mild laundry detergent. Dip your bra in the solution and leave it on for a few hours. Rinse thoroughly. Your underwear will be clean and shiny!
