Here is a list of foods and the recommended maximum time in the freezer:
Meats:
Red meat: 8 months
Poultry (chicken, turkey): 8 to 12 months
Pig: 4 to 6 months
Game: 8 to 12 months

Sea products :
Lean fish: 6 months
Oily fish (salmon, tuna): 2 to 3 months
Shrimp and seafood: 3 to 6 months

Dairy products :
Hard cheeses: 6 months
Soft cheeses: 3 months
Butter: 6 to 9 months

Cooked meals:
Lasagna, casseroles, soups: 2 to 3 months
Pizza: 1 to 2 months
Leftover cooked meals: 2 to 3 months
Vegetable purees and small jars for babies: 2 to 3 months
Meats for babies: 1 to 2 months

Fruits and vegetables :
Fruits (berries, mangoes): 8 to 12 months
Vegetables (broccoli, peppers): 8 to 12 months

Bread and pastries:
Bread: 2 to 3 months ideally, but can be extended up to 4 months
Pastries: 1 to 2 months

Good to know: the times indicated are general estimates. They may therefore vary depending on the quality of the packaging and storage conditions. Furthermore, if the product appears dull, has a suspicious odor or has received juice from another defrosted food, be suspicious. Even if it has been frozen recently, it may have become unfit for consumption.
