1. Melt chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl for 1 minute, stir, then heat for 30 more seconds. Stir until smooth and let cool to room temperature, about 20 minutes.
2. Line an 8×8 baking dish with parchment paper.
3. Mix cooled melted chocolate with thawed Cool Whip until combined and pour into baking dish. Freeze for 30 minutes.
4. Cut into squares, place on a parchment-lined baking sheet, and freeze for another 30 minutes.
5. Melt chocolate wafers as per package instructions.
6. Dip frozen candy squares into melted chocolate, place on parchment paper to set.
7. Store in freezer until ready to serve. Best served cold, can be stored for up to 30 days.
