6. Pour the dough into the prepared loaf pan and smooth it out with a spatula.
7. Bake in the preheated oven for 60 to 70 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
8. Remove the sponge cake from the oven and let it cool in the tin for 10 minutes.
9. Carefully transfer the cake to a rack to cool completely before cutting and serving.
