Everyone knows that Southern cooks know their way around the kitchen, and that includes knowing how to cook indulgent breakfasts. These ooey, gooey sticky buns are a perfect example. The yeasted dough is double risen, making the rolls ultra fluffy. A sticky, sweet mixture of pecans, butter, brown sugar, and honey coats the tops of the buns and runs down the sides.
One of the best things about this recipe is that it can be completely prepped ahead of time and then popped in the oven in the morning. That way you can have hot, fresh sticky buns without having to get up at the crack of dawn. Simply follow the recipe instructions through step 8, cover with plastic wrap, and refrigerate overnight. Take the dough out of the refrigerator about an hour before baking to let it warm up to room temperature and rise a second time.
