Wash shoes perfectly in the washing machine – the trick lies in this step

Of course, to avoid waste, you can machine wash all the shoes at once, but still make sure to separate the white ones from the colored ones.

However, if the shoes are particularly dirty, it is necessary to pre-treat them before washing. As always, in addition to washing the outsole, you also have to remove the insole. In this way, the shoe can be “washed” anywhere and without any problems, even in the part under the laces where they get dirty more easily.

To have super disinfected shoes, before putting them in the washing machine you must also soak them overnight in a mixture of baking soda and water.

After the night, the shoes can be safely placed in the washing machine by washing them with a mild detergent. I recommend that the wash should not be higher than 30 degrees.

Also, you should never use the centrifuge as it is not suitable. To dry them well and in a short time, just put them in the air. If the shoes are soft, it is necessary to use very thick paper to prevent the fabric from tightening, therefore when drying it must be inserted in such a way as to maintain the shape of the shoes.

However, it is clear that before pretreatment it is always necessary to pay attention to the material from which the shoe is made. In fact, if white shoes are first treated with a stain remover and then put in the washing machine, they will inevitably leave stains.

To remove stains, you need to pour baking soda over them and then clean with a non-abrasive sponge. Or you can soak them overnight in a tub of dish soap.

In summary, for the materials that are far from canvas and plastic, specific techniques must be applied. Very often an eraser can also remove stains or simple dry cleaning is also great.

Good housekeeping.
