1 (5-pound) bone-in ham
1 pound fresh green beans, trimmed
1.5 pounds of baby potatoes, halved
1/2 cup honey
1/4 cup Dijon mustard
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup water
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
Salt and pepper to taste
Directions
1. Place the ham in the slow cooker.
2. In a small bowl, mix together honey, Dijon mustard, brown sugar, garlic powder, and onion powder to create the glaze.
3. Pour the glaze evenly over the ham.
4. Arrange the potatoes and green beans around the ham. Add water to the bottom of the slow cooker.
5. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 4-6 hours, until the ham is heated through and the vegetables are tender.
6. Occasionally baste the ham with the juices and glaze from the bottom of the slow cooker to enhance the flavor.
7. Once done, remove the ham, slice and serve with green beans and potatoes on the side.
Variations & Tips
For a more savory twist, you can add some fresh herbs like thyme or rosemary to the slow cooker. If you're looking to add more vegetables, carrots and onions are also delightful additions. For those who enjoy a little spice, a pinch of cayenne pepper in the glaze can boost the warmth of the dish.
