Short-Term Storage (up to a few weeks)
Choose Fresh Apples: Select firm, unblemished apples. Avoid those with bruises or soft spots.
Refrigerate: Place apples in a plastic bag or a breathable produce bag and store them in the refrigerator’s crisper drawer. The cool temperature slows down ripening.
Keep Away from Other Fruits: Apples give off ethylene gas, which can cause other fruits and vegetables to ripen and spoil faster. Store them separately.
