Instructions:
1. Preheat and prepare:
Preheat the oven to 190°C (375°F). Grease a 9×13-inch baking pan with cooking spray or oil.
2. Cook the taco meat:
In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the diced onions until softened, then add the minced garlic and cook for another minute.
Add the ground beef to the pan and cook until browned and cooked through, breaking it up with a spatula. Drain excess fat from pan.
Add the taco seasoning mixture and water to the pan, stirring to combine. Cook for a few minutes until the sauce has thickened slightly. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
