1. Mix Dry Ingredients:

Mix the flour, baking powder (if using), and salt together in a mixing dish. Stir well to evenly incorporate the salt and baking powder into the flour.

2. Include the oil and water:

Create a well in the middle of the dry ingredients and pour in half the water and the olive oil. Once you begin to mix, add the remaining water little by little until a dough forms. Make any required adjustments to the flour or water so that the dough is soft but not sticky.

3. Work the Dough:

Once the dough is smooth and elastic, turn it out onto a surface dusted with flour and knead it for five to ten minutes. To keep the dough from drying out, cover it with a moist towel and let it rest for at least thirty minutes.

4. Split and Form:

Depending on the desired bread size, divide the dough into equal sections once it has rested. After forming each part into a ball, flatten it into a disc that is around 1/2 inch thick.
