Prepare the potatoes. Cook small potatoes in salted water for 10-12 minutes, or until they are soft. Drain the liquid and put it aside.

Prepare the green beans: Cook the green beans in the same pot for 5-7 minutes, or until they are tender but still slightly firm. Drain the liquid and put it aside.

Make the bacon. Cook the bacon until it is crispy, then break it into small pieces. Set aside 1 tablespoon of the bacon fat.
