Steps:
Prepare the minced meat.
In a big pot or a large cooking pot, warm up some olive oil on medium heat. Put the minced meat in the pan and cook it until it turns brown, using a spoon to break it into smaller pieces while cooking. After cooking until brown, remove any extra fat if necessary.
Cook the fragrant ingredients in a pan.
Put the chopped onion in the pot with the beef and cook for 3-4 minutes until it becomes soft. Put the chopped garlic in the pan and cook for 1-2 more minutes until it smells good.
Put the tomatoes and broth in.
Add the crushed tomatoes, tomato sauce, and beef broth and mix well. Put the dried basil, oregano, thyme, red pepper flakes (if desired), and add salt and pepper to taste. Heat the mixture until it starts to gently boil.
