Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Prepare the Brie and Filling: 2. On a lightly floured surface, roll out the puff pastry sheet to smooth the edges. Place the brie wheel in the center of the pastry. 3. In a small bowl, toss the apple slices with melted butter and brown sugar (if using) until coated. Arrange the apple slices on top of the brie. 4. Sprinkle the chopped walnuts over the apples and drizzle the honey on top.
Wrap the Brie: 5. Fold the puff pastry over the brie, apples, and walnuts, pleating it to cover the brie completely. Make sure the pastry is sealed well to prevent any leakage during baking. 6. Brush the beaten egg over the pastry to give it a golden finish as it bakes.
Bake: 7. Place the wrapped brie on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown and crispy.
Serve: 8. Let the baked brie rest for 5-10 minutes before serving. Transfer to a serving platter and serve with crackers or sliced baguette.
