Beef Tips with Mushrooms

Deglaze the Pan
Pour in the red wine (if using) and scrape the bottom of the pan to release any flavorful browned bits. Allow it to simmer for 2 minutes to reduce slightly.
Add Broth and Seasonings
Stir in the beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, thyme, salt, and pepper. Bring the mixture to a simmer.
Step 4: Simmer the Beef
Return Beef to the Skillet
Add the seared beef back into the skillet. Cover and let it simmer on low heat for 30–40 minutes, or until the beef is tender.
Thicken the Sauce (optional)
If you prefer a thicker sauce, mix the cornstarch with water to create a slurry and stir it into the skillet. Cook for an additional 2–3 minutes until the sauce thickens.
