Step 2: Prepare the Ham
Remove the ham from its packaging and place it in a roasting pan. If desired, score the surface of the ham in a diamond pattern using a sharp knife. Insert whole cloves into the intersections of the cuts for added flavor and a beautiful presentation.
Step 3: Make the Brown Sugar Glaze
In a small saucepan, combine the brown sugar, honey, Dijon mustard, pineapple juice, apple cider vinegar, ground cinnamon, and ground cloves. Whisk the ingredients together over medium heat until the sugar is dissolved and the glaze is smooth. Remove from heat.
Step 4: Glaze the Ham
Brush the ham generously with about half of the brown sugar glaze, making sure to coat all surfaces. Reserve the remaining glaze for basting.
Step 5: Bake the Ham
Cover the ham loosely with aluminum foil and place it in the preheated oven. Bake for 1 1/2 to 2 hours, or until the internal temperature reaches 140°F (60°C). Baste the ham with the reserved glaze every 30 minutes.
