Homemade Meatloaf with Stovetop Stuffing

Step 1: Preheat the Oven

1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

2. Grease a 9×13-inch baking pan or line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Step 2: Prepare the Egg and Water Mixture

1. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the 2 lightly beaten eggs and ¼ cup water.

Step 3: Mix in the Stuffing

1. Add the entire package of Stovetop stuffing mix to the bowl.

2. Stir well until the stuffing absorbs the liquid and forms a cohesive mixture.

Step 4: Incorporate the Ground Beef

1. Add the lean ground beef to the stuffing mixture.

2. Using your hands, gently mix until just combined. Avoid overworking the meat to maintain a tender texture.

Step 5: Shape the Meatloaf

1. Transfer the mixture to your prepared pan or baking sheet.

2. If using a sheet, shape the mixture into a loaf. Smooth the top with a spatula or spoon.
