Lack of adequate light: Although they don’t need direct sun, orchids do require a good amount of indirect light to stay healthy. Insufficient light can affect their ability to produce energy, which weakens their leaves and flowers.
Poor ventilation or inadequate humidity: Orchids thrive in environments with good air circulation and moderate humidity levels. If the air is too dry or too stuffy, the plant can suffer.
Lack of nutrients: Being epiphytic plants (growing on trees in the wild), orchids don’t feed through the soil in the same way as other plants. If they don’t receive adequate nutrients, they can begin to wilt.

When an orchid shows signs of weakness, such as wilting leaves or drooping flowers, it means that it is struggling to obtain the resources it needs to survive. It is at this time that we must act to give it an extra boost to help it recover.
