Stir in the vanilla extract and mix until fully incorporated.
Combine the Dry Ingredients:
Gradually add the all-purpose flour, cornstarch, and salt to the butter mixture. Mix until the dough comes together and is soft, but not sticky.
Optional: Add Chocolate Chips:
If you’re adding chocolate chips, gently fold them into the dough for an extra sweet surprise in every bite!
Shape the Logs:
Take small pieces of dough (about a tablespoon’s worth) and roll them into logs, roughly 2 inches long. Place them on the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each one as they will spread a little.
