In a large pot or deep fryer, heat vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C). There should be enough oil to completely submerge the Oreo.
Carefully place the coated Oreos into the hot oil, a few at a time, without crowding the pan. Fry for 2-3 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.
Using a slotted spoon, transfer the fried Oreos to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
Decorate and Serve:
Brush warm fried Oreos with powdered sugar and sprinkle with additional crushed Oreos if desired.
Serve immediately while still warm.
