1 small onion, diced
2 cloves garlic, minced
4 cups low-sodium chicken or vegetable broth
1 can (15 oz) diced tomatoes (with juice)
2 cups uncooked lasagna noodles (broken into pieces)
1 cup heavy cream (or half-and-half for a lighter version)
