Toilet
I put 1/2 cup baking soda, 10 drops grapefruit essential oil, and 1/4 cup white vinegar in the toilet and scrub it while it fizzes. The smell makes me happy. The porcelain shines.
Bathroom
I use blogger Amanda Watters’ bath mix (1/4 cup liquid castile soap, 10 drops thieves or tea tree oil, and a cup baking soda). It leaves the bathroom clean, but all it takes is a good amount of elbow grease and a little water to leave it shiny.
Countertop
For an all-purpose spray, I make a solution of equal parts vinegar and water and add lemon juice. It's a little more acidic than my usual cooking spray, but it smells fresh and cuts through grease gently.
