How to Preserve Eggs for 2 Years in Jars: 2 Perfect Recipes

Buy eggs from farmers, not from the store, because they do not need to be washed! Washing eggs removes the natural protective layer of the shell and makes them more vulnerable to infections. If the eggs are very dirty, clean them with a dry brush.
Gently place the eggs in the jars, taking care not to break them.
Put 2 tablespoons of slaked lime in 700 ml of water and mix well. If you are using slaked lime powder, filter the solution through a fine sieve to remove all impurities.
Pour the slaked lime over the eggs. Make sure that all the eggs are completely covered with the given solution. The slaked lime will form a protective film around the eggshells. This way, they will not spoil.
Close the jar tightly and store it in a dark, cool place until use. Do not expose the jar to light or heat, so as not to alter the quality of the eggs. Eggs preserved in this way can last up to 2 years!
When you want to use an egg from the jar, remove it with a spoon and rinse it well under cold water. You can then use it like a normal egg, to make an omelette, cakes or other recipes.
