Garlic Sausage Alfredo Rigatoni

Instructions
Cook the Pasta
In a large pot of salted boiling water, cook the rigatoni according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside, reserving about 1/2 cup of the pasta water.
Cook the Sausage
In a large skillet over medium heat, add the Italian sausage. Break it up with a wooden spoon and cook until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Remove the sausage from the skillet and set aside, leaving the rendered fat in the pan.
Sauté the Garlic
In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute, or until fragrant. Be careful not to let it burn.
