Amish Apple Fritter Bread

• 1/3 cup light brown sugar

• 2 tsp ground cinnamon

• 2 large apples, peeled, cored, and diced

• 2/3 cup white sugar

• 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened

• 2 large eggs, at room temperature

• 1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

• 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

• 1 3/4 tsp baking powder

• 1/2 cup milk

• 1/2 cup powdered sugar

• 2-3 tbsp milk or cream (for glaze)

Instructions

1. Prepare the Oven and Pan

• Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5 inch loaf pan or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.

2. Mix Cinnamon and Apples

• In a small bowl, combine 1/3 cup light brown sugar and 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon. Toss the diced apples in this mixture until well coated. Set aside.
