No-Bake Chocolate Pudding Pie

Instructions
Prepare the Crust
In a medium bowl, combine the chocolate cookie crumbs and granulated sugar. Pour in the melted butter and mix until the crumbs are well coated and resemble wet sand. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom and up the sides of a 9-inch pie plate. Chill the crust in the refrigerator for at least 15 minutes to set.
Make the Pudding Filling
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the cold milk and instant chocolate pudding mix. Whisk vigorously for about 2 minutes until the pudding thickens. If desired, stir in the vanilla extract for added flavor.
Add the Whipped Topping
