Broccoli and Mushroom Stir Fry Recipe

Prepare the sauce: In a small bowl, mix soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, dissolved cornstarch, and brown sugar (if using). Stir until well combined and set aside.
Prep the vegetables: Wash the broccoli florets and mushrooms thoroughly. Slice the mushrooms and, if using, the red bell pepper. Mince the garlic and ginger.
Heat the pan: In a large wok or skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat.
Cook the vegetables: Add the garlic and ginger to the pan and stir-fry for 30 seconds until fragrant. Then add the broccoli and cook for 2–3 minutes, stirring frequently.
Add mushrooms: Toss the sliced mushrooms (and red bell pepper, if using) into the pan. Stir-fry for another 3–4 minutes until the vegetables are tender but still crisp.
