Start by gathering all the necessary materials. You’ll need water, white vinegar, lemon juice, and optionally, baking soda and newspaper. Make sure your oven is completely cool before starting the cleaning process. Remove the oven racks and set them aside for separate cleaning.
2. Vinegar Steam Cleaning Method:

a. Mix the Solution: In a heatproof bowl or an oven-safe dish, combine equal parts of water and white vinegar. The vinegar will help break down the grime and neutralize any odors. For a typical oven, you’ll need about 2 cups of each.

b. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F). This temperature is ideal for creating steam without overheating your oven or damaging its components.

c. Steam Cleaning: Place the bowl filled with the vinegar and water solution on the middle rack of your preheated oven. Let it sit and steam for about 30 minutes. The steam will penetrate the oven surfaces, loosening up the stubborn grime and making it easier to clean.

d. Cool Down: After the 30 minutes, turn off the oven and let it cool down with the door closed. This will allow the steam to continue working on the residue as the temperature drops

e. Scrub and Wipe: Once the oven is cool, open the door and carefully remove the bowl. Using an abrasive sponge or scrub brush, gently scrub away the loosened grime. For the final touches, wipe down the oven surfaces with a cloth soaked in white vinegar. This will help remove any remaining residue and leave your oven sparkling clean.
