To remove stains embedded in the bottom of your burnt pan (especially if it is cast iron or stainless steel), pour 2 tablespoons of citric acid into it and cover with boiling water. Then let the acid act for a few minutes. You can then scrape with a wooden spatula, or using a sponge to remove everything. Then rinse the pan several times with plenty of water.
Warning: although natural and ecological, citric acid should not be used on enamel or aluminum.
3 – WHITE VINEGAR
White vinegar is an economical and ecological household essential: it disinfects, deodorizes, descales, cleans. It is a product that is perfect for cleaning a pan whose bottom has burned. Here’s how to do it:
Start by pouring a little white vinegar into your saucepan.
Heat the pan for two minutes over low heat.
Turn off the heat when the vinegar comes to a boil, and wait until the vinegar has cooled to scrub the bottom with a sponge. The encrusted residues will come off without difficulty, and your pan will be like new!
