1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
2. In a small bowl, combine sliced peaches, sugar, and cinnamon. Set aside to let the peaches release their juices.
3. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
4. Cut in the 1/2 cup of cold cubed butter into the flour mixture until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
5. Gradually add milk to the flour mixture, stirring until a dough forms.
6. Pour the 1/2 cup of melted butter into a 9x13 inch baking dish, making sure it covers the entire bottom.
7. Place dollops of dough evenly in the buttered baking dish. The biscuits will swim in the butter as they bake.
8. Spoon the peach mixture over the top of the biscuit dough.
9. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the biscuits are golden and cooked through.
