30°C: an effective alternative with the right detergents
If you want to save energy and preserve your clothes, washing at 30°C may be enough, provided you use enzymatic detergents. These products are specially designed to be cleaned thoroughly, even at low temperatures.
Should we completely abandon washing at 40°C?
Not necessarily! Washing at 40°C remains suitable for low-selling clothes and everyday textiles. It offers a good compromise between cleanliness, colour preservation and energy consumption.
However, to ensure better hygiene:
Add a laundry disinfectant ( white vinegar, antibacterial essential oils or specific products ).
Ventilate your washing machine well after each use to prevent bacteria from proliferating in the drum.
Wash at high temperature at least once a month to clean your machine and prevent bad odors.
The right choice according to the type of linen
