Caramel Frosting
Ingredients:
1/2 cup unsalted butter
1 cup brown sugar, packed
1/4 cup heavy cream
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1/4 tsp salt
2-2 1/2 cups powdered sugar (adjust for desired consistency)
Preparation:

Cook the Caramel: In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the brown sugar and bring it to a simmer. Let it cook for about 2-3 minutes, stirring constantly.
Add the Cream and Flavor: Stir in the heavy cream, vanilla extract, and salt. Continue to cook for another 2-3 minutes, stirring constantly, until the mixture is smooth and thickened.
Cool the Mixture: Remove the saucepan from the heat and allow the caramel to cool slightly (about 5-10 minutes).
