11 Effective Tips for Cleaning a Burnt Iron Soleplate

Magic Eraser
Dampen a cleaning eraser and rub directly on the soleplate to remove burn marks.

Cotton swab and vinegar
To unclog clogged steam holes, dip a cotton swab in white vinegar and carefully clean each hole

Paracetamol tablet
Heat the iron slightly and rub a white, uncoated paracetamol tablet directly onto the soleplate. Then wipe with a clean, damp cloth.

Multi-surface cleaner
Spray a little multi-surface cleaner on the cold soleplate and leave for a few seconds. Then wipe with a microfiber cloth.

Nail polish remover
Heat the iron slightly and apply a little nail polish remover to a cotton pad. Run it over the soleplate to dissolve the stains.
