Ingredients:
– 1 pound of your favorite pasta (penne, ziti, or rigatoni work great)
– 1 tablespoon olive oil
– 1 medium onion (diced)
– 2 cloves garlic (minced)
– 1 pound ground beef or turkey
– 1 can (15 oz) crushed tomatoes
– 1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce
– 1 cup beef or vegetable broth
– 2 teaspoons dried basil
– 1 teaspoon dried oregano
– Salt and pepper to taste
– 1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
– ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
– Fresh parsley or basil (optional, for garnish)

Instructions:

**1. Cook the Pasta:**
Start by cooking your pasta in a large pot of salted water according to the package instructions until it’s al dente. Drain and set aside.

**2. Brown the Meat:**
In a large skillet or Dutch oven, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced onion and cook until soft and translucent, about 3-4 minutes. Add the minced garlic and cook for another minute, until fragrant. Next, add the ground beef or turkey and cook, breaking it apart with a wooden spoon, until browned and cooked through.

**3. Make the Sauce:**
Once the meat is browned, add the crushed tomatoes, tomato sauce, and beef or vegetable broth. Stir to combine. Add the dried basil, oregano, and season with salt and pepper. Let the mixture simmer on low heat for about 10-15 minutes, allowing the flavors to come together.
