Instructions:
Step 1: Prepare the Patties

Heat the cooking oil in a large, heavy-bottomed skillet over medium-high heat.
In a medium bowl, gently combine the ground chuck, chopped onion, egg, hot sauce (if using), seasoned salt, garlic powder, and black pepper. Mix until just combined—avoid overworking the meat.
Shape the mixture into 4 to 6 equal-sized patties. Lightly coat each patty in flour, shaking off any excess.
Cook the patties in the skillet until browned on both sides, about 3-4 minutes per side. Remove the patties and set them aside on a plate.
Step 2: Make the Onion Gravy

In the same skillet, add the sliced onions. Cook over medium heat, stirring regularly, until the onions are soft and lightly caramelized, about 8-10 minutes.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the beef broth, water, ¼ cup flour, seasoned salt, black pepper, Worcestershire sauce (if using), and browning sauce (if using) until smooth.
Pour the mixture into the skillet with the onions, stirring constantly. Cook until the gravy begins to thicken, about 3-5 minutes.
Step 3: Combine and Simmer
