Why You Should Never Use the Quick Wash Cycle – The Truth About Your Laundry!
Many people rely on the quick wash cycle when they’re in a hurry, thinking it saves time, water, and energy. But is it really the best option for your clothes and washing machine? The answer might surprise you!
Here’s why you should think twice before using quick wash and when it’s actually okay to use it.
🚨 The Downsides of the Quick Wash Cycle
1️⃣ Clothes Don’t Get Fully Clean
Quick wash cycles don’t give detergent enough time to break down dirt, sweat, and bacteria.
✔ They work best for lightly soiled clothes, but not for deep cleaning.
✔ Solution: Use a regular or deep-clean cycle for anything heavily worn.
2️⃣ Bacteria & Germs Aren’t Properly Killed
✔ Quick washes use lower temperatures (often 30-40°C / 86-104°F), which are too low to kill bacteria and mold.
✔ This is especially bad for underwear, gym clothes, towels, and baby clothes.
✔ Solution: Wash germ-prone items at 60°C (140°F) or higher for proper disinfection.
3️⃣ It Can Damage Delicate Fabrics
