Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
Prepare the Base Layer: In a medium bowl, mix together the butter cake mix, melted butter, and eggs until smooth. Spread the batter evenly into the prepared baking dish.
Make the Pecan Pie Filling: In a large bowl, whisk together the corn syrup, granulated sugar, brown sugar, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract until fully combined. Stir in the chopped pecans.
Layer the Cobbler: Pour the pecan pie filling evenly over the cake batter in the baking dish. Dot the top with the cubes of butter for added richness.
Bake: Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the center is set with a slight jiggle. If the top starts to brown too quickly, cover loosely with foil.
Cool and Serve: Let the cobbler cool for 15-20 minutes before serving. Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or whipped cream, if desired.
