Let’s now move on to the timeless remedy passed down by the Grandmothers for washing the floor: a simple cloth !
Although it is far more tiring than using a mop, washing the floor with a cloth gives you more security in terms of cleanliness , also because the rag can get everywhere.
Another aspect to consider is also the economic one, in fact the rag costs less than the mop , especially if we think about the latest generation ones.
Furthermore, if you can’t be sure not to leave streaks and so on with the mop, there are many different materials for the rag. However, the mop, being made of microfibre, is declared perfect for every tile.
Who wins between the two?
So, between the two, who wins this arduous challenge ?
As in all things, you must above all see what your personal needs are, as you may find one or the other more useful depending on your habits .
In general it might be a good idea to have both the mop and the cloth at home and perhaps use the mop for a quick wipe and the cloth when you have to throw a lot of water on the floor and there are many stains.
However, you must always consider that washing the floor is very tiring at times , so having only the mop, suitable for all types of floors, could be the turning point, but the choice is entirely up to you!
