Step 2: Mix in honey and lemon.
In a small saucepan, mix the minced garlic and honey. Heat the mixture over low heat until it becomes fluid and the garlic is thoroughly combined. Be careful not to boil or overheat the honey, since this may impair its beneficial characteristics.
Remove from the heat and allow the mixture to cool somewhat.
Stir in the lemon juice. Lemon not only adds a refreshing flavor but also contains more immune-boosting vitamin C.
Step 3: Optional Water Addition
If the mixture seems too thick or potent, you can add a cup of water to the pan with the honey and garlic. Gently warm the mixture to integrate all the ingredients without boiling.
Step 4: Store the Syrup.
Pour the syrup into a clean glass jar with a lid.
Refrigerate the mixture. It can be kept for up to two weeks.
Step 5: Usage
Take 1 tablespoon of syrup every several hours as needed to relieve coughs and respiratory problems. Remember to thoroughly whisk the syrup before each use, as the ingredients may separate.
For a full lung cleaning, use the syrup for at least three days.
