			Beef and Mushroom Spiral Pastry
Servings: 6

Ingredients
1 sheet of puff pastry, thawed
1 pound ground beef
1 cup mushrooms, finely chopped
1 onion, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon dried thyme
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
Chopped chives for garnish
1 pound ground beef
1 cup mushrooms, finely chopped
1 onion, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon dried thyme
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
Chopped chives for garnish
Directions
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain any excess fat.
Add the chopped mushrooms, onion, and garlic to the skillet. Cook until the vegetables are softened, about 5 minutes.
Season the mixture with salt, pepper, and thyme. Stir well to combine.
Remove the skillet from heat and let the mixture cool slightly.
Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface.
Spread the beef and mushroom mixture evenly over the pastry, leaving a small border around the edges.
Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese over the filling.
Carefully roll the pastry into a log, starting from one of the long sides.
Brush the beaten egg over the top of the pastry.
Place the roll on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown and flaky.
Let it cool slightly before slicing into spirals.
