Italian Sausage Pasta in Garlic Parmesan Sauce
Servings: 4

Ingredients
12 oz. pasta (penne or fettuccine works well)
1 lb. Italian sausage (mild or spicy, based on preference)
2 tablespoons olive oil
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup heavy cream
1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Salt and pepper to taste
1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish
Directions
1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the Italian sausage, breaking it up with a spoon, and cook until browned and cooked through.
3. Remove the sausage from the skillet and set aside. In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and cook for about 1 minute until fragrant.
4. Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and the sauce begins to thicken.
5. Season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using) to taste.
6. Add the cooked pasta and sausage back into the skillet, tossing to coat everything evenly with the sauce.
7. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until everything is heated through.
8. Serve immediately, garnished with chopped fresh parsley.
