- Preheat oven: Set your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Prepare ingredients: Peel and slice potatoes. Chop onion. Shred cheddar cheese.
- Brown ground beef: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add ground beef and onion. Cook until browned and onion is softened. Drain excess grease.
- Prepare casserole layers: In a small bowl, mix together cream of mushroom soup, milk, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. In a greased 9×13-inch baking dish, layer half of the sliced potatoes, followed by half of the browned ground beef mixture and half of the shredded cheddar cheese. Repeat with remaining ingredients.
- Pour soup mixture: Pour the prepared soup mixture evenly over the casserole layers.
- Bake: Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for 60-70 minutes, or until potatoes are tender.
- Garnish and serve: Remove foil and sprinkle with chopped parsley. Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
