Dr. Pier Paolo Pandolfi, director of the Cancer Center and Cancer Research Institute at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, explained that this finding could lead to a new cancer treatment.
Cauliflower, cabbage, and Brussels sprouts also contain molecules capable of targeting the gene responsible for cancerous tumor growth, known as WWP1.
