Glazed Teriyaki Meatballs
Servings: 4
Ingredients
1 pound ground beef or a combination of ground beef and pork
1/2 cup breadcrumbs
1/4 cup milk
1 egg
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon ginger, grated
1/4 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup brown sugar
2 tablespoons honey
2 tablespoons rice vinegar
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1/4 cup water
1 tablespoon sesame oil
2 tablespoons chopped green onions (optional)
1/2 cup breadcrumbs
1/4 cup milk
1 egg
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon ginger, grated
1/4 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup brown sugar
2 tablespoons honey
2 tablespoons rice vinegar
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1/4 cup water
1 tablespoon sesame oil
2 tablespoons chopped green onions (optional)
Directions
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, egg, garlic, and ginger. Mix until just combined.
Form the mixture into 1-inch meatballs and place them on the prepared baking tray.
Bake the meatballs in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until they are cooked through.
While the meatballs are baking, prepare the teriyaki glaze. In a small saucepan, combine the soy sauce, brown sugar, honey, rice vinegar, and sesame oil. Heat over medium heat until the sugar is dissolved.
In a small bowl, mix the cornstarch with water to create a slurry. Add this to the saucepan and stir until the sauce thickens.
Once the meatballs are cooked, remove them from the oven and brush them generously with the teriyaki glaze.
