Preparation
Preheat the oven to 180°C (356°F) and grease a cake tin thoroughly.

In a large bowl, mix together the quark, sugar, eggs, and vanilla sugar until the mixture is nice and creamy.

Add the flour, baking powder, and a pinch of salt, then mix everything into a smooth batter.

Stir in the melted butter to make the batter extra moist.

Pour the finished batter into the prepared cake tin and smooth the surface.

Now into the preheated oven: Bake for 30–40 minutes, until the top turns a lovely golden brown.

After baking, remove the cake from the oven, let it cool slightly, and if you like, sprinkle some sugar on top.
