How to Make the Cookie, Flan, and Chocolate Cake
If there’s one cake that takes us back to our childhood, it’s the cookie, flan, and chocolate cake. A homemade, easy, no-bake dessert that our mothers and grandmothers lovingly prepared. Perfect for any occasion, it’s a classic that never fails. Its combination of layers of soft cookies, creamy flan, and chocolate coating make it irresistible. Plus, little ones can help prepare it by soaking the cookies and assembling the layers. A time-tested recipe, with a traditional flavor!

Dilute the flan packet in a glass of cold milk (500 ml). Place the remaining milk in a saucepan with the sugar and heat over medium heat. When it begins to boil, add the glass of dissolved flan and stir constantly until thickened. Remove from heat and let it cool for a few minutes.

Mix a glass of milk with a teaspoon of vanilla extract. Quickly soak the cookies (dip and remove, without letting them soften).

Line a mold with plastic wrap to make it easier to remove from the mold. Place a layer of cookies on the bottom of the mold.
Pour a layer of flan over the cookies. Repeat the process until the mold is full, finishing with a layer of cookies. Let it cool and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or ideally overnight.

Melt the chocolate with hot cream and mix until you get a glossy cream. Let it cool before using.

Unmold the cake onto a tray or plate. Cover with the chocolate ganache, spreading it evenly. Decorate to taste with whipped cream, nuts, or chocolate sprinkles.

If you want a creamier cake, you can substitute the milk for cream when making the flan. For a crunchy touch, you can add chopped almonds or hazelnuts between the layers.

This cookie, flan, and chocolate cake is a true trip back in time, with that unmistakable taste of traditional desserts. Easy, quick, and delicious, it will become a classic in your kitchen.
