A discreet flow, suspicious marks… Your toilet flush seems to work, but something isn’t right. This sneaky leak, although silent, can significantly raise your water bill without you even realizing it.
A Silent but Costly Leak
Water leak in a toilet tank
This type of plumbing problem is particularly tricky: after every apparent repair, it often reappears a few weeks later. Water slowly but continuously escapes from the tank, wasting several liters each day. The consequences are twofold: a noticeable increase in your water bill and the persistent appearance of a yellowish ring in the bowl, resistant even to the strongest cleaning products.
Many have tried different solutions: replacing the flush mechanism, thoroughly cleaning the seals, readjusting the valve… Unfortunately, these fixes often offer only temporary relief.
The Root of the Problem: Invisible Wear

The real issue usually lies with the flush valve. This crucial component, which regulates the water flow into the bowl, has a rubber seal that must ensure perfect tightness. Over time, this seal loses its properties: it gets dirty, deforms, or hardens. The result: water continuously leaks even when the flush hasn’t been used.
A deep cleaning might temporarily fix the issue, but a lasting solution often requires replacing the seal entirely. The problem: these parts are rarely sold separately, forcing you to buy the whole mechanism — a significant investment.
